United in their mission of providing an excellent and responsive early childhood experience for every child, our leadership team brings a depth of experience and a broad range of skills and backgrounds. Their goal is to partner with parents throughout their child’s years at Meadowlark, so that each child is seen, supported and nurtured to their highest potential in all areas of development.
Laura joined Meadowlark Community Preschool & Infant Center in 2023 as a Hummingbirds teacher and quickly became a lead teacher supervising both infant classes. She moved into the director position in the summer of 2025. Laura has as Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and since then has been in education for almost 10 years, gaining experience with both elementary and preschool-aged children. She discovered that the early childhood age group was her passion particularly the 0-2 years when close partnership with parents is especially important. As director, Laura works tirelessly with her administration and teaching teams to ensure that Meadowlark is always providing the care and education that supports all children in all areas of development. Laura invites parents to connect with her at any time to discuss their child or learn more about our school.
With eight years of experience in early childhood education, Nick has had experience working nearly every role, from camp counselor to Director of Operations. This diverse background has given him a deep understanding of what makes a school thrive, from the classroom to the boardroom. As Head of Administration and Operations, his focus is on ensuring Meadowlark runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing our teachers to do what they do best: provide an exceptional learning environment for your children.
Nancy joined Meadowlark Community Preschool in the fall of 2023 as a teacher in our two’s program. Since then she quickly got promoted to lead teacher and continues now as a teacher and our Head of Education. Nancy has worked in early childhood education for almost 10 years. Her passion is young children and how the environment around them impacts their development. As Head of Education, she oversees the curriculum in both our infant center and preschool guiding teachers as they work to create learning environments and design activities that promote not only social, emotional, physical and cognitive development but also inspire a joy of learning in children. Through her mentoring, our teachers continue to grow professionally ensuring that our work always reflects best practices and is based on current scientific understanding of how children learn.
Daniel is an L.A. native, born to parents from Ethiopia. He is a husband and father to a one year old daughter. He has a bachelors degree from UC Riverside in Sociology and Education and has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over two decades. His work includes teacher, enrichment program director, school assistant director, and school director. He has also been school head and parent coach in Ethiopia where he lived for three years. Most recently, he was the director of Little Dolphins preschool in Santa Monica for 8 years.
He founded Genius of Each in 2016, where he now works as a family and parent coach, as well as leading toddler classes, parent workshops, and professional development with schools. His work is focused on child-adult relationships, supporting adults towards helping children build confidence, and enhancing communication and tool building to support home and school behavioral challenges. Daniel is delighted to be a part of the Meadowlark leadership team, supporting the teachers and the school’s diverse community.
